Classical Ballet

The genre that creates a dancer!

Classical Ballet is a traditional form of dance that adheres to the Classical Ballet technique.  Ballet is known for it's aesthetics and rigorous workout, this is a strong form of dance that develops strength as their training will result in students being able to perform techniques such as Pointe Work, High Extensions and Incredible Leaps and Turns.  Ballet is graceful, precise and very pleasureable to watch.

Here at Reflections a strong emphasis is placed on learning this genre as it is the foundation to "all" genres of dance.  We use the English/French style of ballet using the British Ballet Organization Syllabus as our training method.

At Reflections, we learn syllabus work during term's one and two and enter students for examinations and competitions during term three.

Ballet can be taken from two years of age up and by Grade 4 of the British Ballet Organization's Syllabus work students at Reflections take two or more ballet classes a week if entering BBO Examinations plus either a preparatory pointe work class or more advanced pointe class. Students at Vocational levels take 4 classes per week plus a pointe class.

Studying Classical Ballet is sure to make you the best dancer you can be, whatever genre you may prefer and here at Reflections is taught in a safe, skilled and disciplined manner whilst incorporating the joy classical ballet brings to life.
